Scrap Winder
We are pleased to introduce the Scrap Winding Machine for metal strip. This model is capable of matching line speed to 1000 FPM (as determined by the prime mover) on a 16" ID and will facilitate scrap bundles up to 36" in diameter with a maximum face width of 12", Maximum package weight is 500 pounds. This model incorporates a removable flange with a tapered hairpin drum to facilitate bundle removal to either a customer supplied pallet or container.
The Model 254 is also available with an optional hydraulically operated tailstock that can be initiated by an operator when the drum is full. When the slide and flange retract, the scrap bundle simply falls off the tapered hairpin drum and rolls down a chute at the operator’s convenience.
