Model TS106 Traverse Winder

The Model S106-TS traverse winder is designed to wind wide web or strip profiles with an overlapping wind pattern. This machine traverses the frame on linear ways thereby keeping the material in line with the process up to the point of contact on the core or spool. Consequently, camber associated with the normal side to side motion of the guide is eliminated.

The 106 is available in single or dual spindle models depending on process line requirements. This winder is frequently used in applications where traverse winding a flat profile to offset a profile is required (For example; weather stripping, zip closured bags, rubber moldings).

Additionally, the Model 106 can be geared to provide very small pitch. This makes it particularly suitable to product that may be affected by lateral stresses that may result from a traversing guide. It has been successfully used for jacketed fiber, extruded tube, and similar round product.
